Biography
A Scientist, Innovator, Writer, Women in STEM, and a Mother
I am a passionate researcher in bionanotechnology, dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovative nanotechnology solutions. With a Master’s in Microbiology from CSJM University, India, and a Ph.D. in Nanoscience from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, my journey has been fueled by curiosity and a drive to solve critical health challenges.
Currently, I am a senior researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), focusing on cancer treatment, biofilm management, and reusable biosensors. My work has led to 82 published research articles, garnering over 8,924 citations. From 2020 to 2023, I was ranked among the Top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University.
Growing up in an Air Force family in India, I attended nine different schools, experiencing diverse cultures and learning to thrive in dynamic environments. These experiences have shown me that embracing change is essential for achieving greatness and diversifying STEM education globally. Through my role as an advocate for Women in STEM (WiSTEM) and my outreach activities, I am dedicated to empowering women to pursue impactful careers in STEM.
I mentor young students aspiring to pursue Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies. Through this platform, I offer guidance, share insights from my own experiences, and provide support to help the next generation of researchers achieve their academic and professional goals. Contact for 1:1 session.
Together, we can break barriers and achieve excellence in STEM.
