Biography
Scientist | Innovator | Research Leader | Advocate for Women in STEM
I am a passionate researcher in bionanotechnology, committed to advancing healthcare through next-generation nanomaterials and translational research. With expertise spanning cancer therapy, biofilm-resistant platforms, infections and reusable biosensors, my work integrates cutting-edge material science with biomedical applications to address some of the most pressing global health challenges.
Currently, I serve as a Senior Researcher at the Technical University of Denmark, where I lead interdisciplinary projects focused on designing smart, sustainable nanocarriers and diagnostic technologies. My research has resulted in 85 peer-reviewed publications with over 9385 citations, and I have been recognized among the Top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University for four consecutive years (2020–2023).
As a strong advocate for equity and inclusion in STEM, I actively support initiatives to increase participation of women and underrepresented groups in science and engineering. I also mentor emerging researchers by offering strategic guidance on academic pathways and international research careers, including Ph.D. and postdoctoral opportunities.
Through impactful science, global collaboration, and inclusive leadership, I strive to contribute to a healthier and more equitable future.
